(alternate title - will the bar exam ever NOT haunt me?)
There are a few TV shows that I loooove. I'm pretty sure I've blogged before about The Good Wife (sooo good), and I really like Grey's Anatomy. It came close to jumping the shark for a few seasons and I didn't really keep up with it religiously, but this season has been really good.
Things I should be ashamed to admit: I have a Word document of all of my favorite Meredith Grey quotes. Sometimes when I'm feeling very "woe is me" about my life, I feel like ole Mer just GETS ME. (Except for the McDreamy part. I'd like a McDreamy please. Maybe I'll pick one up in a bar this weekend... isn't that how all great romances start?)
But anyway, at this point in the season they are preparing to take their oral boards.
When the episode started off with a Meredith Grey voiceover, it was yet again like it wasn't Meredith talking, it was me. Or she was in my head.

ReplyDelete1. My name is clearly Meredith. There has never been anyone else on a popular television who shares a name with me. And then all of of a sudden BOOM my name was on TV. It totally freaked me out to be watching TV and be confused as to why I kept on hearing my name.
2. Remember that episode way back yonder when the impostor Meredith (I am the true Meredith) got all freaked out because a girl who came into the ER died and they had the same shoes? I HAD THOSE MFing SHOES! Before the episode aired I HAD THOSE SHOES! So I had to stop watching...
Eh, whatever, it's 2 am and I've drank too much two buck Chuck and gotten all ranty about Grey Anatomy... Welcome to the real world of a Meredith....
I LOOOVE Grey's Anatomy but I've missed the past 2 seasons. I'm going to have to catch up at some point because I just know this season is good from the commercials.
ReplyDeletegreat season. my now-deleted facebook "favorite quotes" is all Meredith Grey quotes. pretty sure this is what women in our age range relate to nowadays
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you watched that episode. I literally threw stuff at my TV and was like, "OMG, I don't want to deal with this." Especially when they showed scenes from the next show and said 1 of the doctors at Seattle Grace didn't pass. FML. They better not do what they did to George. (Have him fail, and then kill him off?!?!) I need a nice tale of triumph.
