After I fail the bar exam a second time it's going to be REALLY ridiculous (since right now it's only slightly ridiculos) to have a dog named Elle Woods... So what should I rename her?
On a related note: how the hell is it possible to study for the bar exam TWICE and still not know ANYTHING?
Honestly, it's not ridiculous at all. Nobody has the right to decide about what is ridiculous and what isn't. Heck, I'll choose one of the names for my dog: Dexter, Lynn-Z Lowe Ann, Dawg, Beyonce or Bella Swan or whatever character I see in my pet. Elle Woods is a classy and a preppy name.
ReplyDeleteBar exam is not the end of the world! K-12 + 4 years of college + 3 years of law school is more than what a so-called bar exam can justify/prove about a person. Passing is just the icing on the cake.
Now I don't wanna hear all "what's the use of blah blah years of ed when.......yada yada."
Well, I heard folks say "They don't prepare us for the bar exam in law school, PERIOD" So, it needs time to wrap up all those years in one test.
just go with it. I like the name Elle. It is too precious, but if it will reincarnate sour memories, name her "precious" or "Zoe" or a rich name like "Victoria" and nick-name her Vivki!
ReplyDeleteWhat do I know.... just some thoughts
Oh shush. You will pass.
ReplyDeleteI think you should keep the name "Elle Woods"- you could always just shorten it to Elle! My goldendoodle's name is Ellie, but she is named after Eleanor Roosevelt ;)
ReplyDeleteI've done every single m/c question [mbe and ny] my bar review gave me, plus about 60% of the essays and I feel like I don't know a damn thing. So, if that makes you feel any better...
ReplyDeletewhen I took the CA Bar last July, it seemed the real skill was learning HOW to write an essay response, rather than learning things. So you're not alone in feeling like you haven't learned a subject!
ReplyDeleteYou are not going to fail.
ReplyDeleteThe question is not necessary and it taking up precious penny space in your brain that you need right now.
NEVER give up.
