I started this puzzle in May of 2009.
I worked on it really hard for a long time, and then I just stopped. But I left it. Because it was funny.
So it sat on my coffee table for the last 19 months.
My mom would get so mad any time she would come in town but I told her I was never taking it down.
It was a great conversation piece... anytime people came over they'd ask me all about it... sometimes would want to work on it.
Then I started working on the puzzle again last night. And I got really frustrated.
So I did what I said I wasn't going to do.
And now we have a coffee table again. Merry Christmas, Kevin!
I did that once as a kid on a plain table out of the way. My parents let me have it there for 2 years until I finished and realized the LAST PIECE WAS A DUD.
ReplyDeleteI forced it in and my mom framed the whole thing for me.
Ha! Looks like a pretty awesome puzzle though!
ReplyDeleteMy BFF from high school's dad was like this. EVERY single time I'd come to her house, her dad would have a huge puzzle laid out on their dining room table. We always had to eat dinner on those wooden tv trays...
ReplyDeleteNo joke, I did that same puzzle with my old roommate. Vegas strip, right? We got frustrated with it too, but that was because we left it so long that pieces went missing. It eventually went back in the box, and we could walk through her room without stepping over the puzzle in the floor.
