Soooo I know I said that Wednesdays were going to be "workout" Wednesdays from now on, buuuuut I lost 5 pounds this week, so I felt like that warranted sharing. WHooo!
I honestly have no idea how it happened, considering the fact that this weekend I ate approximately 1,500 fried pickles, 200 fried frog legs, 7,000 fried catfish filets, and 1.5 million hush puppies (why yes, there was a fish fry at my brother's graduation party).
Of course since I said I wasn't going to write about it anymore, I lost weight for the first time in months. (literally - months. Just checked my handy dandy weight loss/measurements excel chart. I haven't lost weight since March 31).
In keeping with the "workout" theme - I am following this 10k training plan I found online to prepare for the 10k I'm running on June 26th. Yesterday's workout called for 2.5 miles, which I ran at 10PM on the treadmill because I had a final and was studying all day and it was too cold to try to run it outside. I made it through the 2.5 miles, but not without plenty of walking breaks and not without thinking I was going to go into cardiac arrest.
But I'm not tooooo worried about it... there is plenty of time before the 10k and the half marathon in September, and of course my goal is just to finish both of those. I realize there will likely be lots of walking involved in both of them, but that's okay with me as long as there is more running than walking.
This weekend is graduation and will be another huuuuge weekend of lots of eating... maybe I'll lose 5 more pounds?! Ha. Doubt it. But apparently not stressing about my weight led to losing weight. Who knew.
Woot. Yay for you!
ReplyDeleteNot stressing about weight is a major factor. As long as you make your workouts about fun and your food about fuel. Way to go fabulous!
