It's the opening day of my building's pool!!
We have a huge pool and deck area... everyone hangs out all day, drinks lots of beers, and grills out. It is SO much fun. I have a good group of friends that is always out there bright and early on Saturday and Sunday mornings to make sure we get chairs staked out for the day. And we have friends who own a cabana by the pool with a mini kitchen and bathroom, so we don't even have to use a public restroom. It's heaven.
I spent last night cutting up fruits and veggies to have for snacks, and went to Whole Foods and stocked up on hummus and chips - perfect poolside snackies!
Last year Memorial Day weekend was FREEZING and we sat around huddled up in our towels... this year?
So this will be my view for the weekend (although probably with about 500 more people).

Those snacks sound pool perfect! I'd love to be at a pool tomorrow. I'll be one of the minions at Oak Street Beach. Probably one of the busier days Air and Water Show not included. Have a wonderful long weekend. :)

Unbelievable - it's warmer in Chicago than Southern Calif! I hope we hit 80 tomorrow. We have the pool just not the weather to go with it.
