Almost done...

Currently scrambling to get this freaking written closing argument done. It's not difficult, I am just the world's worst procrastinator.
In addition to finishing this up, I have to clean my condo from top to bottom. Literally. Since my parent's own my condo, they freak out at the thought that I don't scrub the baseboards with my toothbrush on a daily basis (okay, not exactly, but pretty close). I honestly thought that my mom was going to physically hurt me when she saw the carpet in the bedroom after living here for 6 months with Elle. (It has since been replaced, but to be honest the new carpet ain't lookin so hot either).

In addition to my parents coming in town, my brother is also coming, as well as my 2 aunts, and our good family friends. They're all coming to my place tonight for drinks/dinner, which means not only do I need to make the place spotless, I also have to run to the liquor store and pick up stuff for everyone to drink. (We're going to order dinner, so that won't be a big deal).

And as of right now I have 84 words written (need 2200), and this is just a snapshot of what my desk looks like:

The rest of the house looks about the same.
I mentioned that they're getting in at 3:00, right?

This would be a good time for me to get the hell off of twitter and gchat and to get my shit done.

As my good friend C said yesterday in regards to my procrastination when she asked how much I had left of this final assignment and I answered "all of it" -

"well, I'm glad you're staying true to yourself.
can't change your style at the end of the game."

And you know what, she's right.
This procrastinating bullshit has served me well thus far. Why stop now?!

  1. Do you have any old papers or briefs you can copy and paste from? This saved me my senior year with all the papers I had to do as a communications/PR major.

  2. Reading this post is hauntingly familiar. As I just tweeted and said to you, we must be procrastinating twins. You would think situations like these would send one into a panic that would be scary enough to never revisit again, but I ALWAYS get myself into messes like that. Fortunately, I usually get it all figured out and completed, so I hope you do the same!

  6. Good luck! Have a fabulous weekend! Hope you got everything done.

It is nice to know I'm so not alone with my horrible procrastination! LOL Every time I go through it I tell myself I will not allow it to happen again and within days I'm doing the same damn thing...but it seems like it isn't really working for me lately so I may have to change my game before it really bites me in the ass! LOL

I have faith that you will get everything done! :)
