It's a BEAUTIFUL day here in Chicago and I'm in a GOOD MOOD!
This week: -4
Total: -16.5
Total: -16.5
So, I lost the 4 pounds I gained last week. PHEW! I am 3.5 pounds away from my lowest weight in yearssssss, which I hit for a very very short time in December.
I had some great workouts this week and did a pretty good job keeping my calorie intake relatively low, and it paid off, yay!
Even more exciting - Daisy and I have been tracking each other on our weight loss successes and failures. We are both at 16ish pounds right now and have made a challenge to help us break through the 20 pound barrier. I hit 20 pounds lost back in December, but quickly gained it back over Christmas break and then with my trip to Hawaii I haven't gotten back down there. So we have issued a little challenge. First person to hit 21 pounds will buy the other a pretty new lipgloss!
So now I am motivated to break through this 20 pounds... It will be difficult this week, since I'm going home for Easter Friday - Tuesday, but hopefully the weather will be nice and I can get some nice looooong runs/walks in while I'm home! Oh and hopefully I can STAY AWAY from Sonic and Chick-fil-A (but we know that isn't likely).
Wish me luck with the challenge... who doesn't like a new lipgloss?! :)
Hey there, I love your blog. I'm a new lawyer with a lifestle/weightloss blog I thought you might enjoy.

"Once a Model, Now a Waddle" chronicles the life of a one-time model who now, 100 lbs heavier, is a waddle.
I am a twenty-something, first-time-blogger. I have struggled with my weight my whole life. Shopping in my closet is like going to the GAP– I have jeans from size 2 to size 16. My weight can fluctuate by 100 pounds. And because of this, I have been afforded the opportunity to live many types of lives over the past ten years. At my thinnest, I was model signed to a major agency in Miami. As I gained weight, I switched focus from my looks to my smarts. I graduated from law school and started working as an attorney. Now, 100 plus pounds heavier and a bona fide waddler, my memories of photo shoots and the glamorous life are a distant fog. Please join me on my journey from model to waddle and hopefully back again.
That's awesome! Good job and keep it up :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck!!! That lipgloss is as good as yours. :)
ReplyDeleteHooray for you! Nothing like a little bribery...er, motivation.

Okay...this is totally kick ass! You go girl. Of course I fear that I may have gained the 4lbs you lost this week. I'll let you know Sunday! LOL
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you on your challenge with Daisy!! ;)
Congrats!! I need to get motivated again. I wish I could say that the weather in chicago is helping, but all I can think of doing tomorrow after work is drinking a mojito on a patio along with some guacamole and chips :-)
ReplyDeleteTalk about motivation. Friendly competition and new lip gloss are incredible incentives. You're a lawyer, which shows perseverance. I'm sure you can resist Sonic and Chick-fil-a. I always say junk food is like a cheap date, it leaves me feeling empty in the morning. I hope that helps you, 16 pounds is such an incredible feat! By the way, if you're interested I have a Lilly giveaway going on over at my blog right now. Happy Easter!
