"Kind of materialistic, a little vapid, and generally...unpleasant."

"Kind of materialistic, a little vapid, and generally...unpleasant."

I found this little gem and just had to share it with you guys. I'm seriously cracking up
http://legaldiversions.blogspot.com/2010/01/reasons-to-go-to-law-school.html

I have NO IDEA who this person is. Never seen this blog before. I just got a google alert with my blog name e-mailed to me tonight and this came up.
I can't even think of anything witty to reply, because I'm laughing too hard.

I'm not asking you guys to go over there and tell him what an asshole he is.
But if you feel so inclined, go right ahead.

XOXO,
The fabulous one who never claimed not to be materialistic, vapid, or unpleasant

  3. I second that. There's something intrinsically cool about how your humor totally sent that stiff into a hissy fit. Savor the moment. You're doing something right. Keep up the good work.

  5. While the post is funny in the whoever posted it is a hater sort of way, I hope you don't change your blog. I'm a 1L that came to law school really believing that I was ready for it because I'd worked for a year then gone to grad school so I wasn't quite so naive about what I wanted out of life before making the transition to law school. Even with my experiences and feeling sure that the practice of law was the career I wanted to begin in it actually took being here to realize LAW SCHOOL BLOWS and it feels like I'm the only other 1L that thinks so.

I feel like I'm surrounded by people who've dumped who they were before law school to become the person they've read in some “How to Succeed” book that they were supposed to be while in law school. I love reading your blog and feeling like other people have come to law school and still manage to be funny, interesting, and maintain a life outside of school. It's nice to "hear" a real perspective that makes me feel like I'm not crazy if I have an interest outside of studying, talking about how much I study and/or the professors, exams, and Facebook. Thank you for turning this horrible experience that is my law school experience into something I can find humor in.

  7. This in and of itself is "fabulous". I am not in Law School & I love reading your blog. I think its hysterical. I seriously just wanted to leave a comment on that fools post but then felt as if he would be getting the reaction he wanted. Continue on being "materialistic, vapid, and generally unpleasant" because we all love it!

  15. I love that while you said you were cracking up, none of the commenters seemed to have found Legal Diversions funny.

I literally laughed out loud when I read "Take a job away from the be-otch who writes Legally Fabulous."

Not only was it funny, but (and no offense meant here, I like your blog) it's the best reason I've heard for going to law school.
