I am SO glad that I have good news to report! And it's good news despite the fact that I did not work out Tuesday-Thursday last week, Sunday, or Tuesday. I was a big time slacker! And I
Despite all that, I managed to lose 1.5 pounds this week! Yay!
So,
This week: -1.5 pounds
Total since January 2009: -15 pounds
Total since January 2009: -15 pounds
YAY! Down 15 pounds!!! So I know weigh what I weighed 2 years ago in college... Apparently not only did I gain 25 pounds in college, I also gained 15 pounds in law school. I'm an admitted stress-eater. Aren't I lucky?
I am still 15 pounds away from my goal, but I feel like I've finally turned a corner and will actually lose weight a little more quickly now. Like maybe it took 10.5 months but my metabolism has finally woken up from it's 24 year long slumber?!
So there we have it. My mom is going to be purchasing me a new pair of jeans over Thanksgiving, yay! And also probably a new pair of tennis shoes... mine are worn out! It's time for a new pair. I have such big, wide, flat feet that I have a hard time finding a good pair that don't squish my big ole clodhoppers. I usually wear New Balance... sometimes men's, sometimes women's.
Do I have any similarly-situated Amazon women readers with suggestions?
How did everyone else do this week?
I have rather small tootsies but I suggest that you go to an actual running store- a boutique one if you can- that has a track and special shoe-fitters. You talk to them about what you do for exercise, they measure your feet, they bring you two pairs of shoes (or so) to choose from, they watch you run/jog/walk in them. It is the ONLY way to buy shoes that you are going to work out in- it prevents injury and ensures you have a shoe that fits your foot perfectly.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Fifteen pounds is awesome, and you have been working so hard.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! 15 pounds is quite the accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the weight loss! That is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI went to a running store a few months ago when I was preparing for my half marathon and they swear by Asics and Brooks running shoes for serious runners. I bought a pair of Asics and although they're not always the cutest shoes, they are definitely more comfortable and better for your feet than other brands I've tried (Nike, Adidas, New Balance).
Keep up the great work girl!!! xoxo
Aww, congrats...15 pounds lighter. What a huge accomplishment!!
