Howdy everyone!
I hope you all had a fabulous Halloween! I actually don't like to celebrate Halloween.... not sure why, I just never have. Probably because there aren't really many options for costumes for girls other than dressing like a skank. And I'm not really into that.
Soooo I went to Champaign for the weekend. We tailgated all day Saturday and went to the game and saw the Illini beat the crap out of Michigan. It was SUCH a great game and it was so much fun to watch them win for a change! It was actually the first time that Illinois has beaten Michigan since 1983... before I was born! Whoohoo! My friend and his parents put on an awesome tailgate, as always, and I think I ate/drank more than 10,000 calories on Saturday. Seriously, it was ridiculous.
Looking ahead at the week: WHooaaaa there.
I have a TON of work to do. I CANNOT believe it's already November. Seriously where the hell did this semester go?!
Also coming up this week - Christmas card pictures!!! Elle and I are having our pictures taken on Thursday. I'm super excited about them.
On top of all the regular school and life stuff going on this week, I am taking the MPRE on Saturday. (For you non-lawyer readers out there - the MPRE is an ethics test that all lawyers-to-be have to take) I know it's supposed to be pretty easy, but I do need to do some studying for it this week. Not sure when that will be taking place, but I'll figure it out. Have to!
I am having kind of a stressful night trying to get my financial situation figured out. As my mother says, I am currently in a financially embarassing situation. I had to call my parents and ask for money for the first time since college. I hate hate hate asking for money from them at any time, but I especially hate it right now. My dad's business is seriously struggling and they don't exactly have tons of money laying around to share with their 24-year-old daughter whom they are already supporting way past an age where most people should be cut off.
I HATE not being able to support myself. I hate not having a paying job. Hate ittttt!
Alright, I'm off to scrub my bathroom, then to read for evidence tomorrow morning (I know, try not to die of shock).
Everyone say a prayer for me... I need it get through this week!
p.s. Sorry this post was a bit of a downer... it seems be a Sunday night trend around here, huh?

ReplyDeleteUgh- everyone thinks they failed the MPRE after you take it. Don't worry though- no one who does the Bar Bri thing does.

ReplyDeleteGood luck on the MPRE. I remember when I took it, thinking it was waaaaaaaaay harder than I thought. Luckily, though, my test score was high enough to opt out it in any other jurisdiction. Just pay attention to the judge stuff. They seem to ask a lot about that.
