So anyway, I immediately g-chatted him to tell him congratulations after reading his facebook status that he had passed (I would have commented on his fb status but really, I didn't want to get 87,000 followup e-mails from every person that he knows also congratulating him, so I thought that g-chat would be the most efficient way to share my congratulations).
Here is our convo (p.s. his name is Zack and I call him Z-murda):
me: CONGRATS!!!
Zack: why thank you.
me: Z Murda, Esquire. How does it feel?!
Zack: Haha. It feels like I have just been told that I no longer have cancer after a 3 year struggle with it

So eloquently stated. Congrats Z-Murda. I'm proud of you.
Yay! That is a great way to put it! I still get teary when I remember how I felt when I found out I had passed the bar! It's a moment I'll never forget!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Zack!
ReplyDeletehaha i love it! i on the other hand will most likely fail the bar seeing as how i'm reading blogs rather than paying attention in class.
ReplyDeleteKatherine - I've already decided if I don't pass on the first try I'm moving away.
ReplyDeleteMost likely to somewhere foreign, tropical, and English-speaking (Bahamas? Cayman Islands?)
No one will ever hear from me again.
You're welcome to join.
Eloquently put!
ReplyDeleteHaha, so true!!!
ReplyDeleteIf I didn't pass, I think I was going to change my name and move to a foreign country. Gah.
I finished law school a few years ago and did not take the bar, I had already been placed career-wise but I felt the same way, so accurately phrased! What a slog for grad school I chose, I always thought!
ReplyDeleteHubby and I are still waiting for our Bar results (FL Bar) We are so scared! ...Another two weeks to go!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for that day... although I am super lucky and live in the ONLY state in the country where you don't have to take a bar exam after law school... and while that is being challenged in the 7th circuit, their decision (either way) won't effect me.
