Favorite Summer Cocktail:
Well I don't vary my cocktails too much - I'm a year round sugar free redbull-vodka or vodka-tonic drinker.
I suppose my favorite "summery" cocktail would be a John Daly - there are a couple variations on the recipe but I like to do about 1/3 vodka citron, 1/3 lemonade, and 1/3 sweet tea. Some people put triple sec in it but I like to stick with vodka. And in all honesty it usually ends up being like 1/2 vodka citron, 1/4 lemonade, and 1/4 sweet tea (are you sensing a pattern here?!).
And of course when I'm in Dallas you just can't beat a frozen margarita (with salt!) from Mi Cocina. Mmmmm mmmm!!!!
If you're a new follower or haven't paid attention - I like vodka. A lot. I like to drink. A lot. I'm trying to get my partying out of my system this last year in law school and I've toned it down quite a bit. I'm a fabulous single girl in my 20's in a fabulous city... what the hell else am I supposed to do?! Haha. In all honesty when I reflect back - I'm amazed I graduated from college on time, with decent grades, and got into law school. I seriously went out HARD CORE no less than 4 nights a week (usually 5 or 6) every.single.night.
I am a rockstar. Or I have a drinking problem. Ooopsies. But not really so much anymore - now I only go out 2-3 nights a week, at most. Aaaaanyway... that was prob. the longest answer EVER to "favorite summer cocktail."

I'm not a big movie watcher... I always see previews for movies that I want to see but rarely end up going to see them. The only movie I think I saw this summer was "the Proposal" and it was cute, but hardly qualifies for "favorite summer movie."

Hanging out at the pool in my condo building on a warm Saturday afternoon with all my friends. We drink all day, grill out, and get rowdy. SO MUCH FUN. I <3 Summer!

I'm currently reading "American Wife" by Curtis Sittenfeld. One of the bloggers that I read (don't remember who!) said she was reading it, and I'm in the middle of it right now. Love it!

ReplyDeletei'm in tax class and i had to try really hard not to laugh out loud when i read about your favorite drink! i'm seriously scared for football season bc its always my most drunk time of year. i told ben yesterday that all i remember from last football season was a feeling of shame. haha.
