What does 2 years of law school crap look like?

This.

Ew.
In preparation for the new school year, I'm cleaning out my bookshelf... it is stuffed to the brims... mostly with stacks and stacks of outlines and crap.

I don't know why I've hung on to my first semester torts outline for so long... maybe because I worked on it for so long I couldn't bear to part with it?
I would actually venture to say that I haven't read what's on 50-75% percent of this enormous stack of papers. What a waste.
Welp, I'm over it. All of this crap is going in the dumpster. I've got a stack of new books that came in from Amazon this week that are MUCH more entertaining and they need space on the shelf!

P.S. - I'd like to also issue an apology to Mother Earth. So much paper! What a waste. Law school is SO not green.

  1. Haha I love this post because I totally know how you feel! My bookcase is filled with Civ Pro and Property outlines because I am just not ready to part with them. Will I ever look at them again? No. But I spent so much time on them it feels like a waste to throw them away! At the end of this year once law school is over I WILL thrown them all away though...I hope :)

  4. You're right, law school is so not green. When I just recently moved I threw out SO much stuff, but I also kept an ungodly amount. I'm just like you, I couldn't part with some of those outlines I worked so hard on. I keep telling myself that until I choose a practice area, I never know what I'll need. This somehow makes me feel better until I'm reminded that any law firm I work for will have all the materials I need.
