Dilemma of the Moment:

So I have been in Dallas for 2 weeks now for weddings and wedding showers and etc. Tomorrow I venture back to Chicago for 3 more weeks of nothingness before Europe.

Here is my dilemma:
When I came from Chicago to Dallas, I drove. I threw a huge laundry bag in the car, plus a couple duffle bags, some hanging clothes, etc.

Tomorrow I am flying back to Chicago.
Somehow I have to figure out a way to fit all of this:

Into a suitcase and a carryon.
Plus my toiletries and things that are in the bathroom, and my computer, and my purse. FML.

Of course I didn't even bring a suitcase home with me, because I am a ruh-tard (Anyone seen The Hangover?!), so I'm going to have to borrow one of my parents to take back with me.
Not sure if you can see it under there that but that mess includes like 3 duffel bags, my giant LV tote, a laundry basket FULL of clothes, and like 8 pairs of shoes. (Obviously I'll leave the boxes from the new shoes behind, but still).
Oh, AND I got a pair of these, which my mom ordered for me and had shipped to Texas that I'll be flying back to Chicago:

Total side note about those shoes:
I have a friend Mario (pimping out his website here - mariothetrainer.com) who is a Master Trainer. He teaches tons of classes at several local gyms in Chicago - including KANGOO! I took his kangoo class several weeks ago and absolutely LOVED it. It is SO fun and it is seriously the hardest workout.

Here is a video from Mario on the ABC station in Chicago that gives you an idea of what the class is like. Mario is INTENSE and promises to whip me into shape. I want Michelle Obama arms (there! I said something nice about the current Presidency! ha) and he promises to deliver.

So yeah - this packing thing is essentially a clusterf*ck at the moment. God help me. At least the Great Dane is staying in Dallas, right?
But seriously, how am I going to get ALL of that crap, PLUS a pair of kangoos, into a suitcase and a carryon?! AH!

  1. I recommend stopping at a UPS place or FED ex place and shipping some of it back. With all the fees you'll pay for the airlines for the extra weight it's not worth it. You'll save money this way.

  3. Why not ship some of it back?

And those shoes look like so much fun! Although, I could see myself ending up very hurt while attempting to use them....

  4. I mailed a bunch of stuff back when I was in Italy. It's kind of expensive but worth it if you have no other choice for sure!

  6. I have had to ship things home on just about every holiday I have been on! It might be the way to go! And it usually only costs a few dollars!
