First off - the title of the article is dumb. The article isn't about women being threatened by rugged men, it's just about women being attracted to more "feminine" looking men.
I thought it was an interesting article because I am definitely not one of the types of girls who is into pretty boys - helloooo I want to be the pretty one in the relationship! And while a guy in a nice pair of jeans is a total turn-on, I think a boy should be more interested in what's on MY behind than his own, if ya know what I mean.
I love guys who are real 'guys' guys. Into sports and beer and tools and cars and dude stuff.
In my last relationship I totally wore the pants and I've learned that while that worked some of the time, it didn't work out in the end. I need someone who can let me be a strong independent woman AND be the man in the relationship. (Obviously this is why I may or may not be the most single girl on the planet, but that's another post for another day).
All that being said?
Ryan Reynolds?
omg. makes my heart melt.
what.a.babe.

I just saw The Proposal with my mom last night and pretty much drooled over him the entire time.
So maybe I do like pretty boys after all. Hubba hubba!
I'll have to check that article out; I'm completely with you on generally preferring the more rugged type. And I've actually said that line about "wanting to be the pretty one" to my husband, so that made me laugh.
ReplyDeletePS - Ryan Reynolds doesn't fall within my "pretty" category; he falls into "the hotness" category. I'm hoping to catch that movie this weekend.
